Volunteers in this position walk through the museum and speak with visitors. A Gallery Host does not need to know technical facts about the automobiles. However, many Gallery Hosts learn a great deal about these beautiful cars while they are on the floor. A Gallery Host must have a pleasant personality and enjoy speaking with people.

After successfully completing museum docent training, these volunteers conduct guided tours. The tours are booked in advance and usually take two hours. The Docent should have a strong desire to learn about the history of the Auburn Automobile Company and its leader, E.L. Cord.
BULK MAILINGS
This is a very popular volunteer position!! A group of volunteers meet in the volunteer office when the museum has a bulk mailing. The volunteers stuff and label envelopes. It is a good way to socialize while helping the museum.

The Archivist is assisted by volunteers who enjoy doing research. The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum receives requests from many people who want information about the museum, the history of Auburn Automobile Company and, of course, the automobiles. This is another area that has quite a few different functions. Bridal Show, Wine Tasting and other fundraising events are examples of times volunteers help the museum in many different areas.
GARDENING
This is a three season position (Spring, Summer and early Fall). Volunteers are responsible for planting, maintaining, and sometimes removing flowers and plants from the museum grounds. This position is handled by a group of volunteers, which seems to make the work more fun.
