An annual tradition, New Year’s Eve is when friends and family congregate to celebrate a symbol of things to come. As a culture, New Year’s Eve is an opportunity to start over on things forgotten or a starting point for some who put-off reaching goals. These few hours on what should be a magical evening is a celebration of self.
Heading in to the year 2018, the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum is the place to celebrate the New Year. What better place to celebrate than the timeless former international headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Company, a testament to the Art-Deco movement? The theme for this New Year’s Eve party is, “A Nouveau New Year!” which highlights the Art-Nouveau movement.
“A Nouveau New Year!” embraces a wide range of fine and decorative arts that describe elements of the designs not what was designed. Come dressed in period appropriate or themed attire – cocktail attire is required. The Farmland Jazz Band will entertain with various hits from upbeat swing to smooth jazz. Guests are encouraged to occupy the dance floor and show off their dancing ability.
The event is for ages 21 years old and older. The Museum is unveiling a signature cocktail book titled Cocktails of the Auburn Automobile Company: A Collection of Mixed Drinks. Each attendee has the opportunity to try three 5 oz. drinks from the book’s select menu. The drinks in the book represent other significant characters from the Auburn Automobile Company.
