Car Side Presentation
Very powerful and luxurious, this Duesenberg Model J convertible sedan was one of the most popular body styles built for Duesenberg. Thirty-two were built by the Walter M. Murphy Company of Pasadena, California.
The Duesenberg Model J utilizes a large 420 cubic-inch straight-eight Lycoming engine that produces 265 horsepower, far more than any competitor of the time. As new with the convertible sedan body style, this Duesenberg cost approximately $14,750. It was donated to the museum by MBNA Bank.
