Art Series: Quilting

Join us April 20th from 1 - 4 pm to explore the world of quilting! Did you know, here at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum that we have several quilts on display in our collection? The 1920s and '30s saw a surge of interest in quilting as a practical art form. Participants will learn about our collection of unique quilts, then follow up by learning basic sewing and quilting skills, as well as how to use a sewing machine, led by regional artist Sybil Magrill from the Appleseed Quilter's Guild.  Participants will leave with their own hot pad and oven mitt!

This class is geared towards beginners, so no experience necessary. Ages 13-100, all are welcome! Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Activities are made possible in part by the Indiana arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a Federal Agency. This program is FREE for participants, registration is required. Spots are limited.
