Description:
Although this posed winner won her Auburn by way of chance, women were a key consumer demographic for the Auburn Automobile Company. It was not uncommon for wealthy patrons to buy automobiles on the request of their wives or for women to be the sole consumers. This included custom luxury automobiles such as the Duesenberg Model J. In addition, the Auburn Automobile Company carried a mainstream advertising trend into the automobile industry by featuring advertisements specifically targeted at women drivers.
