Description:
Although the Auburn 8–98 debuted during the Great Depression, it was a commercial success due in part to marketing efforts such as the Collective Advertisers Association raffle. In fact, 1931 was the best sales and production year for the Auburn Automobile Company. Production records indicate that 31,952 Auburn 8–98's were produced for the 1931 model year. The company would not find the same success in later years, going out of business in 1937.
