Robert Wiley was initially employed by the Auburn Automobile Company in sales. Wiley soon realized the potential for automobiles as an export, and used his international travel experience in the military to lobby for a position in charge of exports. Within a few short years Wiley had built one of the best automobile export operations in the United States, and had firmly established himself as the Export Manager.
